2007!

Well, with the end of the year fast approaching, and things at work getting busier and busier, I figured it was time to take stock of the year, the good and the bad :D In future posts I also have to do a goals update also, but for now here is 2007 :D

The year started off with optimism...I had the distinct feeling it was going to be a good year for us, and thankfully I was right! Even the bad stuff has turned out for good, but this is not surprising considering the bible says ALL things work to the good of those who love Him! We marked my birthday with a trip to Toowoomba for lunch at La Porchetta, and then icecream at cold rock :D I was SO touched that so many of my church family came, and my mum bought me a BEAUTIFUL cake! Semester 1 of uni came and went almost as quickly! Before I knew it I was getting credits or higher, and then was on holidays again. During the middle year holidays I scored a job working with Rockmans casually as a sales assistant. The job was good, but after a few months it became clear that I really was not wanted anymore, due to some circumstances changing, so Brad made the suggestion that I should apply at Big W. After a few weeks of wondering, I got an interview and then got hte job :D :D :D

In other news, after a year of having to deal with insurance companies, the police, and lying old people who dont tell the truth about their own mistakes....the insurance payout finally came through, and more than we expected as well, so we began ordering our furniture. Now, after a few months we finally have all the furniture in place and it looks GORGEOUS! Ben was kind enough to take me iceskating for the first time, and after we went to the casino on the gold coast for my very first martini! Shaken not stirred!!!! :P More recently I took a road trip to brisbane to see my boys, the Lads, play at a rally called Unite. It was SOOOOOa wesome, and I got pictures with them, and their latest cd signed and everything, and Stevo remembered me!!! How cool is that! Was so great to see htem and I cant WAIT for AGMF 2008 since they have already confirmed that they are definately coming!!!!

Max and Gizmo have both had good years. Gizmo got the big snip not so long ago but it hasnt slowed him down AT ALL. Max had to go to the vet for a tummy bug but thankfully thats all fixed now! With Brad nad I both working, we are saving like CRAZY for his new computer, and then for the honeymoon we've been craving. Also, I am booked in to see Phantom of the Opera next year, and Mum is coming with me! Whoo hooo! We're going to check in to a FIVE STAR motel, hire a limo for a tour around the city, and then go see the show. Afterwards a nice dinner, and the next morning we're ordering room service! It will cost us a bit, but it will be a LOT of dreams finally realised, plus I get to see phantom for the first time in 12 years :D :D :D

On the church front a lot has happened.  Since the beginning of the year I have stopped participating in the worship team, for a number of different reasons. I started helping with the youth group, anad also have been asked to help with sunday school, which Im really enjoying. During church camp, Bradley gave his heart to the Lord, and has been growing in
leaps and bounds ever since. We've seen a few people leave our church this year, with a major influence being the apostolic movment that has started up here in Warwick. A few of our youth have left due to this, and caused a little trouble along the way, but thankfully we press on! We've had some other troubles at church with some of our members, but nothing that a good prayer and lots of love cannot fix! Brad and I have been able to forge strong friendships with a number of couples from the church, and I truly believe they are people who will continue to speak into our lives for years to come in a way that noone else could! Our Pastors Amanad and Brian have only recently become proud foster parents to three children - Jacob, Joshua (I think) and Emily :D They're beautiful children, and very well behaved!

Now that the year is winding down, Christmas plans have stared. brad and I have started our Christmas shopping, and we're planning a quiet day at home this year, since we will both be working right up until the end of trade Christmas eve. Brad's dad is coming out Christmas day, and 'll probably cook a pork roast (his favourite!) with all the trimmings :D Mum and Gina are coming to visit for new years, so it will really be like having two christmas's!

Well, I think thats about it. This time next year I will have finished university, and we'll be making big plans for change. We might be moving out of Warwick in order for me to find a good job, and Brad is considering studying when I go into the workforce. Whatever happens, we continue to believe that God will protect and guide us into the new Year and in years to come. We have been so blessed this year, and we look forward to be able to share those blessings with others in 2008! Until then we just plan on continuing what we're going, and applying ourselves to any task that the good Lord sets for us. Praise God for 2007!!!!!!
