My Monthly Rant!

Why!!! do people find the need to swear in the most needless places? Im not talking about letting a bad word slip when you stub your toe, or going off at someone who cut you off in traffic...even I do that...much to my shame....Im talking about using it in everyday conversation...almost every second word conversation...even IDENTIFYING yourself or others with cursing....

I know the world is fallen, but is it really necessary???? Is it really absolutely vital? And since when did putting stickers on your back windscreen calling yourself a b!@ch cool??? I dont get it!!! Why on EARTH would I want to call MYSELF that word let alone someone else???? Dont people see that calling themselves that only makes it ok for OTHERS to call them that?

Another pet peeve of mine is the whole playboy thing...since WHEN did it become cool to not only endorse men looking at low level pornography but to actually ASSIST the multi million dollar fat cats in their capitalist endeavours???? There are no answers for these questions other than "thats the way it is" or some glib comment about the darkness int his world or the fallen nature of man, but it all just seems so sick! it really is! women have been brought so low....*sigh* it makes me sad for every little girl in this world that they're growing up in this kind of culture, where degrading behaviour is no longer just inflicted UPON them, but they're doing it themselves, and to eachother. we as fellow women should be lifting eachother UP, expecting more from ourselves and eachother rather than less! Have we become SO desperate for worldly standards that we will literally sell ourselves out for what men deem attractive or "cool"??? It's so sad.....Jesus is our hope, and our salvation...and in a time like this we need that hope even more!
